Three Birds Renovations - House 14

THREE BIRDS RENOVATIONS

The Three Birds Renovations team and Rawson Homes have collaborated to create an exclusive knock-down-rebuild package that combines "the best of the Birds." The Birds meticulously designed each element, which incorporates all of their favourite design elements from their favourite homes.

Together, the Three Birds Renovations team and Rawson Homes have created an exclusive knock-down-rebuild package that brings together 'the best of the Birds'. Every element has been meticulously designed by the Birds, and brings together all the best design features from their most loved homes.

With open living spaces, a family-friendly kitchen, alfresco dining area and four bedrooms, this bright and breezy home has all of the Three Birds team's signature style. All the design choices have already been made, with every fixture and fitting - from skirting boards to window coverings - carefully hand-selected by the team.

Luxaflex also worked with the Three Birds team throughout the process to select the most suitable window coverings for this ready-to-go dream home. Here's what they came up with.

Downstairs Living

Bright and open, the downstairs living area is an ideal place for relaxing with family and friends. It features a huge void, and soaring windows that fill the space with light. There's also a gas-strut window that opens to a server bar - a great entertaining feature, especially in the warmer months.

To create a sense of softness in this room, without detracting from the flow of light, the Three Birds team chose a set of centre-opening Luxaflex® Curtains in Chloe fabric. As the top of these super-scale curtains is high up within the void, the team opted for PowerView® Motorisation so they can be opened and closed with the simple touch of a button. To create a seamless look throughout the area, the same curtains are used in the dining room, but these open to the left, and have wand operation as they're more easily accessible.

Main Bedroom

The main bedroom is one of the most luxurious spaces in this dream home - a hotel-style retreat with vast ensuite, walk-in robe, sitting area and private balcony. To create a sense of tranquillity and ensure the space is ideal for sleeping, the team chose Luxaflex® Duette® Shades in Apollo Blockout fabric to cover the French doors which lead out to the second story balcony. They also selected bottom-up operation, which means the blinds can be pulled up and sit neatly at the top of the doors when not being used.

As well as adding an element of style, Duette® Shades play an important role in helping moderate the temperature in this bedroom. Their unique honeycomb structure traps air, which provides a layer of insulation that helps keep the home's interior warmer in winter and cooler in summer.

To complete the look of sophistication in this space, the Three Birds team also chose Luxaflex® Curtains in Zion fabric to sit over the Duette® Shades. They also used these same curtains as a cover for the decadent walk-in robe.

Bathrooms

In both the ensuite to the master bedroom, and the main bathroom, the team opted for Luxaflex® PolySatin Plantation Shutters. Proudly made in Australia, these shutters are an ideal option for wet areas as they are impervious to moisture, and won't blister, peel or fade. They are also backed by an all-important 20-year warranty.

Upstairs

In the upstairs area of this two-storey home, the team used Luxaflex® Silhouette® Shadings in Nouveau Translucent fabric - for both the spacious rumpus room and the upstairs hallway.

Both sets of shadings have bottom-up configuration, which means they can be drawn up to sit above the window when not in use. Each set also uses the Ultraglide Operating System, which features a retractable wand mechanism that stays a consistent length when raising or lowering the shades. With no cords, this is a great option for ensuring child and pet safety.

Entrance

As with all of the Three Birds Renovations' interior designs, the entrance of this home makes a dramatic statement - with a spectacular curved stairway leading up to the second floor. Luxaflex® PolySatin Plantation Shutters with ClearView operation were chosen for both the main entrance window and the staircase.

Bedrooms

For any family home, creating dark and peaceful spaces for rest and relaxation is essential. It's why the team chose Luxaflex® Duette® Shades with LightLock for each remaining bedroom. As well as providing all-important insulation, the LightLock feature ensures total darkness, for a good night's sleep. They also selected bottom-up operation, so the blinds could be raised up to sit above the window when not in use, and PowerView® Motorisation - so they can be activated with the simple touch of a button.

Exterior

Window coverings can play an important role in the exterior of a home too, especially to shade areas designed for outdoor entertaining, or to protect a home's interiors from the damaging effects of the sun.

To cover the BBQ area in this home, the team chose a Luxaflex® Evo Pivot Arm Awning in Dickson fabric, with PowerView Motorisation so it can be easily opened or closed - even from inside the home.

And to cover the alfresco area they chose the Luxaflex® System 2000 Awning, also in neutral Dickson fabric.
